Job Requirements:

- B.S. in industrial hygiene or a related scientific field. M.S. or MPH in industrial hygiene is preferred.
- Minimum 2-5 years related experience.
- Knowledge and experience conducting industrial hygiene evaluations for air contaminants, noise and radiation.
- Knowledge in exposure control.
- Knowledge and experience performing indoor air quality investigations.
- Knowledge in OSHA general industry and construction regulations and compliance.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills for the preparation of concise and informative technical reports and health and safety programs.
- Knowledge and experience in health and safety for hazardous waste site activities a plus.
- 40-hour Hazwoper training a plus.
- Asbestos inspection certification a plus.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.

Department Preference:

Established, quality oriented consulting firm seeks to fill an industrial hygienist full-time, exempt position. Successful applicant will be required to perform industrial hygiene consulting for clients as well as provide internal health and safety support for the firm's consulting and construction activities. Candidate should possess strong field experience, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be self-motivated.

Working Conditions:

- Primarily indoor in climate controlled environment, subject to sitting, standing, walking, and/or using office equipment.
- May be required to occasionally work beyond 40 hours per week.
- Subject to exposure to light and glare from a CRT or monitor.
- Subject to frequent low-level noise of a telephone and other office equipment.
- Field activities at industrial facilities, construction sites, and hazardous waste sites with the associated environmental conditions will be required periodically throughout the year.
- Personal protective equipment appropriate to the work environment and potential exposures (may include: hard hat, safety glasses, chemical protective clothing, respiratory protection and steel-toe work boots) will be required.
- Travel will be required.

Physical Requirements:

- Manual and finger dexterity enough to operate personal computer.
- Vision enough to read, write, and prepare reports on a computer screen, etc.
- Hearing enough to understand and communicate by telephone and in person.
- Speech enough to communicate clearly and distinctly by telephone and in person with all levels of employees within the Company.
- Ability to pass entrance physical.
